Here is the deal; if you want to stay healthy not just physically but mentally as well, you need to look forward to something you love to do, and a place you would want to be. Your spirit inside you needs to desire life. In order for this to happen; you must look for a hobby, a business opportunity, a place with a various social activities, or even volunteer in community events. Wherever your interests may lie, it is imperative to find something you enjoy doing to maintain a healthy attitude towards life.
I heard a motivating story of a man once, who worked in an office job until the day of his retirement. Instead of doing what everyone does, he turned his attention to his hobby which is planting lilies. He happened to have a large piece of land, so he kept on expanding his lily garden while cross pollinating them to create different varieties of all colours and sizes. One day he just had too many, he began selling them and this created a small business. His business grew to the point where he had to have his entire family involved in it. This hobby turned into a good sized business employing his children and their significant others. The business became so large he had to purchase neighbouring land to expand in order to supply the demand. He even began to ship lily bulbs across the world. His hobby made him much more money than the job he had his entire life.
My point here is that life does not end at retirement it is a blank page in a new chapter. This is where you could create what you could not get yourself to do earlier in life. If your are still capable of moving your arms, legs and using your mind soundly, then you are capable of doing anything you came to this life to do. Age does not matter, the older you are the wiser you become. Just shake out of your mind the misconception of “it is too late”, then get up and go do it.
